The news

A newbuild order is the kind of story the maritime press covers reliably, provided the release carries what an editor needs: the owner, the yard, the vessel type, the capacity, the delivery window and what the ships will do. Sallaum’s announcement had all of it, including the option for two further vessels, which gave the story a forward angle.

“Marconic has proven to be a highly effective partner in amplifying Sallaum Lines’ presence across the maritime media landscape. Their platform delivers reach, speed, and professionalism; all while remaining a smart, cost-conscious choice for brand building at scale.”

What we did

The headline was built around the two concrete numbers in the story, the vessel count and the CEU capacity, rather than around the company name. The release went to all three audiences, because a car carrier order interests logistics editors as much as shipping ones.

It was scheduled for a mid-week morning CET, which puts it in European editors’ inboxes at the start of their day and still catches Asian titles before they close.

What happened

More than 70 publications ran it, most within the first 48 hours. The pickups were logged in the dashboard with the outlet, the headline each one used and a link to the article, which Sallaum could share internally without assembling a clippings report.

Those articles are still indexed. When someone searches for car carrier newbuild orders now, or asks an AI assistant which operators are expanding in that segment, the coverage is what the answer is built from.

“Awake.AI and Tidalis partner on maritime emissions reporting”.
Two named companies and a regulatory topic editors were already covering.
